Description

In 1995 I started Little People Day Care and it turned into Little People Day Care Center later in 200 I. We started with 12 children and now we are licensed for I 00 children. Composed of Early Head Start classrooms (2), along with PreK-Durham PreK (2), and our regular classroom consisting of an infant classroom, a one-year old classroom, one 2/3-year-old classroom and one preschool classroom. We have over 15 full time employees and at least 4 volunteers that work in excellence. We are proud of our facility at I 020 S. Miami Blvd. We look forward to nurturing your precious children.

Randy's Five Star Academy has a wonderful, nurturing and qualified staff to provide great experiences for your children. They take excellent care of your precious loved ones. We have two beautiful Learning Centers for outside play, including: a more natural habitat for children ages 0-3 and a Secret Garden Learning Center for children above 2 years old. Durham County Book Mobile monthly, St. Jude Children's Hospital Trike-A-Thon Fundraiser for Sick Children annually, Preschool Classroom Nutritionist activities quarterly, NCSU Reading Program, Special Field Trips with Parents providing transportation, Disney On Ice, Museum of Life and Science. Community Involvement: Fire Department, Police Department, Read-A-Roo from UNC, Durham County 1000 Books Foundation Project for Young Children.

Duke families receive $100 off first 3 months tuition. After 3 months of $100.00 off, Duke parent may use 10% discount.

60.00 Enrollment fee (onetime) Therapists are welcome to serve our children. Rags to Riches Plays come to our center two to three times a year. Durham County Book Mobile visits monthly. St. Jude Children's Hospital Trike A Thon Fundraiser for Sick Children annually. Preschool Classroom Nutritionist Activities/Parents. Parent volunteer for Special Activities in Classrooms, Big Celebration for National Week of the Young Child. Celebration of Hispanic Independence Day. Special Field Trips: Disney on Ice, Museum of Life and Science, Parent Choices. Parent Involvement in center Reading Books in different languages. NCSU Special Reading Team called Peanuts (students attending NCSU come out to our center and read books at least once per week, promoting Health and Nutrition) Life Touch Portraits take photo's twice a year. Little People allow students from our local universities to do their practicum before graduation. Little People is also being utilized as a model center for the Rating Scales of North Carolina for their rating scale trainers.
