Perform a variety of complex accounting tasks involved in maintaining financial records and processing related data; prepare budget proposals; monitor, verify and reconcile accounts.
* Perform a variety of accounting tasks involved in maintaining financial records and processing related data such as invoices, vouchers and other documents; monitor and reconcile accounts with financial statements. *Prepare and coordinate departmental budgets to include preparing budgetary projections according to established guidelines; assist in the preparation and coordination of grant proposals, and monitor, verify and reconcile grant funds as assigned. *Maintain records of departmental or divisional grants/contracts and budget expenditures, informing appropriate staff members of financial status. *Analyze financial information and prepare complex financial reports and statements reflecting various data for utilization by higher management. *Supervise the preparation of various financial and accounting forms and logs; review and/or coordinate the work of lower level employees as assigned. *Maintain interface with departmental and Health System personnel to obtain and provide information to verify or support financial records and ensure compliance with established Health System policies and procedures; prepare correspondence and answer inquiries regarding accounting information as required. *Compile financial information and prepare financial reports and statements reflecting various data for utilization by higher management.
Prepare various financial and accounting forms and logs; review and/or coordinate the work of lower level employees as assigned.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education: | Work requires knowledge of general accounting principles usually through two years post-secondary education in accounting or a related business field. |
Experience: | Work generally requires three years of experience in an accounting setting to become familiar with the accepted accounting practices involved in maintaining financial records, reconciling accounting information and preparing financial statements, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE. |
