Responsible for compliance with:1) the overall nursing practice standard of the specialty area in which assigned, reporting to Department Director; 2) unit standards during assigned shift, reporting to House Supervisor. By utilizing established principles of delegation, supervision and independent judgement to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources during assigned shift.
| Education: | Requires current unrestricted license to practice as a Registerd Nurse in the state of North Carolina; BSN preferred. |
| Experience: | One to three years previous supervisory experience highly preferred; three to five years previous clinical nursing experience in applicable specialty area required. |
| Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: | Requires current American Heart Association BLS certification. National certification in area of speciality preferred. |
