General Description of the Job Class

Assist with the development, coordination, and implementation of orientation and training programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Development and provision of educational programs

*Assist with needs assessment

*Recommend and implement program designs *Evaluate and revise programs as needed

*Facilitate various planning groups *Serve as educational consultant to Health Unit Coordinators Implementation and coordination of orientation and training programs *Teach orientation and life support program content

*Coordinate speakers for content expertise

*Monitor each program for quality and performance improvement

*Maintain life support provider/instructor status as designated *Participate in the initial assessment of Health Unit Coordinators educational needs

*Collaborate with various departments

*Serve as an educational consultant

 

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education:

Bachelor???s degree required in a health related field

 

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience required. A two-year Master's degree in a health related field may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.

 

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

Thirty (30) hours of continuing education per year

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Adult principles of learning, educational process

Classroom presentation skills, computer skills, critical thinking skills, organizational skills
