General Description of the Job Class

Manage the corrective and preventive maintenance program for of imaging and imaging related equipment used throughout University Health System (DUHS).

 

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Ensure that DUHS is complying with all local, state and federal requirements. Provide operating and capital budget guidance to Director. Maintain common failure parts inventory to ensure equipment uptime. Maintain and demonstrate professional competency according to department policies, procedures and protocols. Assist in evaluating and testing new equipment. Assist in maintaining proper test tools and equipment. Ensure provision of 24x7 on-call to support DUHS Imaging support needs. Provide project management for equipment installs and projects as assigned. Provide input to Director, Clinical Engineering pertaining to personnel issues. Focus on a teamwork approach to service.

 

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education:

Work generally requires a minimum education acquired through the completions of an Associates Degree in Applied Science of Technology, Vocational training or equivalent military education.

 

Experience:

Work requires a minimum of five years of experience in servicing of medical imaging equipment. Must possess management experience with strong leadership and customer service skills.

 

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

Requires original equipment service training.
