Provide professional counseling services in a DUHS program designed in assisting participants in behavior change to maintain a healthy lifestyle and quality of life through individual and group therapy.
Provide professional counseling services to patients and their families that are enrolled in programs which include but are not limited to Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Weight Management, Stress Management, Healthy Escapes and Executive Health.
Counsel and teach behavior change, stress management, mindful eating sessions, smoking cessation classes and other program classes, which assist the participants in achieving, prescribed objectives. Administer, interpret and assess the results of related program administered assessment tests.
Assist with the development of mind/body programming into wellness program, i.e. cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management. Provide education to patients and families related to issues that impact patient care.
Conduct lectures and participates in community outreach activities. Identify concerns and make referrals to other specialists when needed. Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Provide guidance and coaching to staff members working with clients as needed.
Facilitate problem solving between staff and/or clients.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. herein.
Education: | Work requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work. |
Experience: | None required beyond education/training requirement. |
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: | Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHCs) by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (NCBLCMHC). |
