General Description of the Job Class

Responsible for the oversight of financial reporting and budgeting functions within PRMO, including, but not limited to, financial analysis and reporting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Direct and coordinate all activities within the Financial Reporting and Budgeting division including, but not limited to, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and GL maintenance, and cash management. Develop and maintain budget and operating plan for Financial Reporting and Budgeting division. Assist Director of division to establish and maintain relationship with decision modeling support/revenue and contract modeling function within DUHS Corporate Finance. Assist in the development of operating policies and procedures for the Financial Management and Analysis department. Analyze reports to determine areas of improvement and determine appropriate plan of action. Plan and schedule work for the division ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties. Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies and to keep employees abreast of current changes and standards. Manage various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

 

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field required. MBA preferred.

 

Experience:

Six years experience in financial reporting, accounting, finance or related field is required. Experience should include supervising technical and analytical resources and managing operational and personnel budgets.

 

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

CPA preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to independently recommend enterprise-wide solutions Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Oral and written communication skills Interpersonal and team-building skills Analytical, problem solving and management skills Ability to effectively manage staff
