Responsible for managing the creation, execution and refinement of financial analysis for assigned client group.Manage and direct seamless financial governance of business planning processes of the business units of DUHS, including financial and capital planning.
Participate in the development of the Duke University Health System (DUHS) financial plan. Manage financial analysis for client groups as assigned.Develop financial analysis and related management reports in support of leadership requirements.Lead a team of financial analysts to perform non-repetitive financial analysis functions.Provide liaison with DUHS senior financial management, DUHS business CFO's, Finance Directors, University senior accounting and finance personnel, and internal auditors regarding financial and statistical reporting. Manage, document and monitor business plan development. Manage post completion project audits, as assigned.Write, evaluate and document policies and procedures; communicate process methodologies and requirements for financial analysis, budgeting and capital planning. Review work and train lower level employees.Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, transfers, promotions and vacation schedules. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education: | Position requires organizational, analytical and communication skills with attention to detail evidenced by the completion of a bachelor's degree program. Master???s level college degree preferred. |
Experience: | Work generally requires years of progressive accounting, financial management and/or financial auditing experience including knowledge of financial reporting. Experience in an academic medical center is preferred. |
