Establishes and maintains network performance by building net configurations and connections; troubleshooting network problems. Under the supervision of the Sr. Network Engineer ensures the connectivity and reliability of hardware, software, and related telecommunications systems. Managed the network file structure and security to include Group Policies (GPO) and security groups as defined by the business objectives. Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner. Performs system admin tasks with respect to server level application support, specifically as it relates to security, such as Windows Patch management. Acquires and maintains the necessary application system knowledge and organizational business process understanding to adequately support the overall network infrastructure (WAN/LAN). A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
| Education: | University degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or 4 years equivalent work experience. |
| Experience: | Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, WWAN, and Datacenter, design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, monitoring, quick analysis of data to drive problem resolution, and general network management best practices. |
| Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: | Certifications in specific networking technologies: CCNA "Cisco Certified Network Associate" is preferred. |
