General Description of the Job Class

The Employee Health Nurse implements, provides oversight and executes the comprehensive Employee Health Program for the facility/facilities assigned. Provides support to the local facilities during times of outage or annual events. Participates in employee education functions as they pertain to ongoing Employee Health. The core program is designed to promote wellness, maintain productivity, and promote emphasis on the employee health policies, procedures and practices. Provides support in the areas of employee testing and screening, record keeping, employee incident management, leave processing, worker's compensation management, and counsel regarding employee health related matters.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Graduate of a nursing program. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience

Prior employee health nursing experience is preferred.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification

Current North Carolina RN licensure is required. BLS certification is preferred.
