General Description of the Job Class

The Health Information Management Lead will assist the Director with coordination and supervision of the daily operations Information Management department in order to provide timely and quality services to Administration, the medical staff, and other healthcare organizations. Working under the guidance of the Director to perform all duties in accordance and accrediting agency guidelines and standards. The HIM Lead will assist the Facility Privacy Officer with walk-throughs orientation. The HIM Lead will be self-motivated to learn various computer applications and provide suggestions for services the HIM department provides.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prefer two year degree in computers or HIM degree.

Experience

A minimum of five years Healthcare experience required. Employee must be experienced with Computers, with Google Sheets, Gmail and other Google products. Analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and identify barriers/issues. Must be detail and quality oriented with exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to work independently prioritize multiple tasks.
