General Description of the Job Class

Provides leadership and direction for staff while supporting the hospital's clinical initiatives, policies and procedures. Works with the modality staff as well as other department staff in accomplishing the highest quality of patient care and customer satisfaction and in assuring that the modality runs effectively and efficiently. Supports and works closely with the Director of Imaging Services to ensure that all areas of the department work together to accomplish the goals and standards set forth by the hospital. Supports and actively promotes the mission and vision of the hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

For clinical supervisors, registration by the governing body of that particular modality. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience

Five years or more experience in the modality preferred. A working knowledge of the modality equipment required. Must have supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or by the governing body of the particular modality. BLS Certification required.
