General Description of the Job Class

To manage the recruitment activities of Duke???s community based practices and faculty practices as requested. Will successfully expand, strengthen and grow Duke owned or managed practices and enhance references to Duke hospitals and strengthen alliances in the referral area.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Identify and implement quality improvement techniques within the department.

Meet with Duke Faculty and Administrators regarding recruitment services and determining scope of services and prerequisites.

Secure Health Systems support for recruitment initiatives.

Secure contracts with recruitment firms.

Prepare budget and monitor monthly activity; identify corrective measures as needed.

Coordinate creation of Community Private Diagnostic Center (CPDP) contract and faculty letter for all CPDC physicians.

Monitor routing and distribution of signed CPDC, Duke Raleigh Hospital (DR) and Durham Regional Hospital (DRH) hospitalist agreements and amendments.

Serve as liaison to trainees for job placement questions and concerns. Give yearly presentations on job search related topics.

Serve as source of recruitment information for Network Services (i.e. changes and trends in industry , salary data, recruitment activity)

Provide resources and foster professional development and growth with departmental staff.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Bachelor???s degree in a business related field required.

Experience

Work requires four years related business experience in healthcare business or management. Prefer some experience in medical recruiting.

Core competencies include: collaboration and team building skills, leadership skills, excellent planning and organizational skills, effective and efficient decision-making skills; and strong analysis and judgment skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to be effective in a matrix management organization.
