General Description of the Job Class

Coordinate and deliver a variety of administrative services to support the development and operation of an integrated network of providers for Duke University Health System.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Manage and coordinate operations of the Outreach Clinic Program to include leading the planning process with affiliated communities and designated departmental contacts; organize overall operations and functions of off-site clinical programs to include development of operating systems, guidelines, policies and procedures, financial arrangements and promotional strategies.

Develop and coordinate initiatives and plans in support of network development and contracting including, but not limited to, managed care contracts, service delivery , and the review and analysis of various contractual agreements and requests for proposals; assist in the negotiation of contracts as appropriate. Coordinate financial aspects of the Outreach Clinical Program to include coordinating accurate and timely billing of outreach services, lease payments and reimbursements.

Serve as affiliations representative to assigned communities and to the AHEC advisory committee in support of Outreach Clinical Program; maintain liaison with leadership in related functional areas.

Coordinate physician recruitment programs to attract specialists to network communities; negotiate and maintain liaison with professional recruitment firs; assist local administrators to identify physician needs and structure clinical ties between Duke University Medical Center clinical departments and physicians place din communities.

Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions concerning outreach programs and impact on affiliated community health care delivery systems. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Work requires a general business background generally equivalent to a bachelor???s degree in a business related field.

Experience

Work requires four years related business or administrative experience in hospital or group practice operations, management, planning, managed care contracting or project management.

A master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration, or Public Policy may be substituted for two years experience.
