General Description of the Job Class

Primary responsibility is to coordinate, implement, and serve as the primary contact for hospital operations and implementation of business planning. Provides day-to day direction and coordination of implementation of operational strategic plans and will work collaboratively across the entity and DUHS.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Serves as a day to day liaison between senior leadership, operations, FPDC, and health system for implementation of capital projects. Develops and implements goals, objectives, and measurable success indicators. Provides day-to-day direct accountability for hospital operations. Supports the hospital's strategic planning process through operational planning activities. Coordinates leadership among hospital operations departments and serves as the primary contact for hospital operations for project implementation.

Work with Operational Leadership to develop and analyze proposals to resolve key operational challenges such as improvements in service, access, and capacity. Serve as an advisor and consultant on existing programs and initiatives with regards to total performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Maintains productive and open vertical and horizontal lines of communication both internally, within the hospital community, and across the health system. Routinely connects with and informs Executive and Medical Leadership, peers, and subordinates in order to optimize DUHS resources and coordinate activities between other DUHS entities and stakeholders.

Supports and helps lead the operational planning activities that contribute to the achievement of the hospital's mission and vision while maintaining the values.

Manage a team to help perform the aforementioned tasks. Perform personnel actions including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, performance management, and firing.

May also have responsibility for process improvement and project management for hospital operations.

Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Bachelors degree in health-related field required. MHA or MBA strongly preferred.

Experience

Five years of directly related experience is required.
