General Description of the Job Class

Responsible for the oversight of all revenue reporting and analysis within the Financial Management & Analysis division for the PRMO, including but not limited to revenue and reporting. Provides data analysis to support Directors in decision making process regarding PRMO operations. The Senior Manager is the technical resource and project manager for revenue cycle reporting with primary focus of assisting the PRMO with improvement of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by providing meaningful information analysis mined from various patient accounting systems.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Responsible for the oversight of all revenue reporting and analysis within the Financial Management & Analysis division for the PRMO, including but not limited to revenue and reporting; set the overall direction for the Revenue Reporting and Analysis division.

Serve as key contact from Financial Management & Analysis division of PRMO for operational Directors of PRMO.

Participate in operational committees/groups chaired by PRMO Directors and provide suggestions/recommendations to enhance current operations within PRMO.

Develop and enforce closing, consolidation and reporting calendars; develop and produce daily, weekly, monthly and year-end revenue reporting package, including statistical reporting.

Prepare all analytical revenue lead schedules, account analysis, year- end support and other account reconciliation; assist in technical accounting research.

Develop, mentor and cross-train Financial Management & Analysis staff with a focus on employee growth and succession planning.

Perform numerous special projects and unique, non-routine revenue accounting items; participate in internal and external processes when required.

Support annual external financial statement audit. Develop and maintain budget and operating plan for Revenue Reporting and Analysis division.

Assist Director of division to establish and maintain relationship with decision modeling support/revenue and contract modeling function within DUHS Corporate Finance. Assist in the development of operating policies and procedures for the Financial Management & Analysis department.

Analyze reports to determine areas of improvement and determine appropriate plan of action.

Plan and schedule work for the division ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.

Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies and to keep employees abreast of current changes and standards.

Manage various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacations schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.

Experience

Eight years of experience in the healthcare/IT industry is required

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification

Certifications in patient access or patient accounting preferred.
