General Description of the Job Class

Serve as manager in Corporate Finance with responsible for managing the cost accounting or the patient data reporting process as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Manage the processes over the assigned area ensuring that tasks are complete timely and accurately based on the established the monthly calendar.

Manage the monthly audit, analysis and reporting completed by the Analysts.

Perform system reconciliation to source systems and documents.

Manage the coordination of adhoc requests and/or analysis is completed as needed and within deadlines.

Prepare written reports and trend analysis.

Supervise, review work and train assigned Financial Analysts. Develop professional staff amd recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, transfers, promotions and vacations schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work describe herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Position requires organizational, analytical and communication skills with attention to detail evidenced by the completion of a bachelor???s degree program. Master???s level college degree preferred.

Experience

Work generally requires eight years of progressive accounting, financial management and/or financial auditing experience including knowledge of financial reporting. Experience in an academic medical center is preferred. A Masters degree in Business Administrations or related field may be substituted for 2 years of experience.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification

Master???s Degree or CPA Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The position will interact on routine basis with leaders at all levels of the Health Systems and Univeristy, requiring excellent oral and written communication skills.

Position will require coordination efforts with other Finance and Operations deparments across Health System and University, requiring excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.

This position invovles significant analytical, problem solving and management skills.

This position will have two or more direct reports.

The ability to work on simultaneaous project with minimal supervision.
