Occupational Summary

Perform routine work related to the operation of gymnasium supply and locker rooms and related facilities; issue, clean, repair and obtain return of athletic equipment, apparel and supplies. Maintain related records.

Work Performed

Issue gym clothes, uniforms, towels, athletic equipment and special athletic apparel to student, student athletes, faculty, staff, and other users of the locker room facilities: may keep related records of items issued.

Assign lockers to students and staff; maintain records of locker usage: assist in the preparation of activity reports reflecting various locker room functions.

Collect soiled apparel and towels; operate washing machine and dryer to clean apparel and towels; sort and store laundry.

Set up and maintain various apparatus or athletic equipment; maintain and repair athletic equipment and facilities.

Repair damaged apparel.

Assist in periodic inventories and in grading equipment for usability; stencil identifying information on equipment.

May be required to pack equipment and apparel and travel to sports events.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires ability to understand and follow instructions generally equivalent to a partial high school education.

 

Experience:

Work requires six months of inventory control experience.
