Perform general work in the maintenance and repair of roofs, to include asphalt, slate, tile, shingle and sheet metal coverings.
Perform general work in the repair of asphalt, rubber, slate, tile, shingle and sheetmetal coverings, to include the removal, replacement and repair of appropriate materials.
Participate in inspection of roofs for routine problems; participate in scheduled preventative maintenance programs to diagnose and troubleshoot roofing problems.
Assist in the determination of type, gauge and amount of materials required for performance of work. Assemble, install and inspect gutters, downspouts, flashings and other roofing materials.
Participate, monitor and assist in the coordination of contractors' roof repairs; ensure compliance to instructions.
Perform basic fabrications and repairs to sheetmetal and copper roofing products; clean, cut and solder metal roofing materials as required. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training: | Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to a high school education with shop work courses. |
