Occupational Summary

Produce, install, and maintain a variety of directional and informational signage in accordance with order specifications.

Work Performed

Set up, operate, and maintain computerized engraving and signage systems to include graphics design and layout for accurate fabrication of signage orders.

Install signage in appropriate locations per job specifications and customer requirements.

Consult with customers as needed to develop design concepts, gather information, and discuss alternatives regarding signage requests.

Perform routine maintenance and make minor adjustments/repairs to equipment and tools.

Complete financial accounting for each job per departmental procedure.

Maintain proper inventory materials and production supplies to ensure timely completion of work.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires the ability to perform basic graphic arts functions related to sign making and engraving normally acquired through a high school education and two years training in Graphic Design, or related field or the equivalent in experience.

 

Experience:

Work requires one year of experience in commercial art, graphic arts or sign making to acquire knowledge of techniques, methods and equipment utilized in sign making and engraving.
