Occupational Summary

Perform routine technical duties in the andrology laboratory involved in semen testing and processing for insemination in vivo and in vitro.

Work Performed

Perform routine technical duties in conducting Andrology Laboratory procedures.

Perform routine Andrology tests and procedures as written in protocol manual. Verify results and quality control data for assurance and reliability.

Provide feedback to physicians and clinical staff regarding results of tests and procedures. Performs and documents all quality control, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Assist in inventory management.

Assist in establishing new laboratory procedures.

Participate in the maintenance of laboratory records and database. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in biology, or related scientific field.

 

Experience:

Clinical and /or research experience in an Andrology or InVitro Fertilization (IVF) Laboratory preferred.

OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
