Occupational Summary

Direct the operations of the Center for Documentary Studies to include responsibility for overall budgetary, programmatic, and policy decisions.

Work Performed

Direct the initiatives and policies of the Center, including all academic and community activities.

Direct and manage the financial aspects of the Center.

Represent the Center to various public organizations and institutions, the academic community and other organizations.

Develop and maintain liaison with corporations, foundations, and individuals to promote Center goals and fund raising activities. In consultation with the Board of Directors and staff, establish priorities, programmatic directions, alliances, and resources.

Manage reorganization and structural changes, establishing appropriate committees and reporting structures for staff, as needed.

Direct various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
