Occupational Summary

The Duke Capital Partners Senior Assistant Director will play a key role in our mission of connecting Duke investors with Duke entrepreneurs around the world. S/he will plan, analyze, implement and monitor investment processes and assure the ongoing delivery of high quality services to investor members, many of whom are current or prospective high level donors. The Senior Assistant Director will lead the achievement of the network's goals related to making and managing investments. This position will report to the Duke Capital Partners Managing Director.

Work Performed

Planning and implementing all aspects of the deal process including investment sourcing, screening, diligence, analysis and decision-making processes.

Screening potential investments for fit with DCP investment criteria, performing pitch deck review, company assessment, and general due diligence as necessary.

Monitoring and reporting on progress of portfolio companies and providing regular portfolio reports to the Operating Team.

Interfacing with Duke Capital Partners member investors. Providing frequent outreach and personalized service to Duke Capital Partners members with regards to investment process, deal diligence logistics and operational questions.

Managing various technology platforms, including internal tools and platforms and the Duke Capital Partners website. Managing systems and processes that drive the investment diligence process, the development of internal communications for members, and the distribution of external communications regarding portfolio and other organizational news.

Planning and executing events including annual meetings, regional pitch events and company pitch presentations.

Recruiting, training, assigning tasks to and supervising the Duke Capital Partner graduate and professional Associates.

Performing other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires a Master's degree in a related field.

 

Experience:

Work requires 10 years of experience in a related field.

OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
