Develop, implement and coordinate a career counseling and placement program for the students and alumni of the Fuqua School of Business to include counseling with students in the establishment of realistic career plans and objectives, establishing and maintaining liaison with employer representatives; and conducting studies of career development patterns and employment trends to provide input for possible curriculum changes.
Plan and implement a career counseling program to provide information and counseling services to students and alumni concerning career opportunities, vocational choices and employment trends.
Establish and maintain liaison with representatives from organizations, agencies and corporations to promote and coordinate recruiting visits to the Fuqua School of Business; coordinate the scheduling of interviews between representatives and qualified applicants with the University Placement Office.
Interview and correspond with student and alumni applicants seeking positions to determine qualifications based on education, ability, interest and other employment factors; discuss personnel needs and applicant qualifications with employer representatives to ensure proper referral and placement of applicants and to gain additional information concerning job and career opportunities; maintain liaison with recent graduates and alumni to follow up career progress.
Develop and maintain a resource library of available occupational and vocational opportunities for utilization by students, counselors and faculty members.
Maintain records of placement activities; conduct research studies and prepare special reports and analyses with appropriate recommendations or conclusions concerning the impact of placement activities and illustrating current and future employment trends.
Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations for operation of the Career Services Office.
Represent the Fuqua School of Business in appropriate professional organizations and before groups and individuals to explain placement programs and procedures.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
