The CEO leads the strategic vision, direction, and growth of the Duke University Federal Credit Union. The CEO develops, champions, and executes strategic and tactical goals in conjunction with the Board of Directors, ensures the organization's short and long term financial health, and considers and advances state of the art services and programs. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is fully accountable for the management and performance of the entire organization.
Develops, refines, and leads implementation of the strategic vision of the organization both short and long term.
Develops and recommends for Board approval strategic and tactical goals and critical measures.
Administers and directs the Credit Union in accordance with policies adopted by the Board, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Continually anticipates, appraises, interprets, and reacts to political, regulatory, economic, and sponsorship environments so as to develop policies and programs to adjust to each.
Informs and educates the Board as to current industry and environmental trends, and the effect on the Credit Unions strategic vision and plan.
Promotes and advances the image of the Credit Union in the Duke community and in the State, Regional, and National Credit Union industry, and brings recognition to the organization and the University and Health System.
Develops relationships with key leaders within Duke University, the sponsoring organization.
Manages, communicates, and markets the Credit Union and our services to members and prospective members, and University and Health System Officials.
Reviews various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, and promotions for Credit Union administrative staff and officers.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training: | A bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or related fields is required. CPA or CFA certification and/or a master's degree in a relevant field is highly preferred. |
Experience: | Ten or more years in financial services industry management, administration, and operations with progressive level of managerial responsibility. Experience in Board/ CEO relationships desired. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |
