The Associate Dir of Strategic Programs will develop business infrastructure to enable the success of the business structure. This role is responsible for developing and enacting the policies, processes and practices across communities for uniformity in tracking and reporting progress, and the alignment with the directives. The position will have management oversight of the staff.
Initiates and participates in conversations and communications with industry leaders, senior regulatory leaders, academic key opinion leaders, and pan-federal leadership to advance mission.
Facilitates resolution of issues arising from differing views on program and project goals and activities.
As part of the executive team, responsible for strategic planning, including managing the Executive Committee (board-level) discussions for transforming trials for future vision that is being incorporated in a complementary effort.
Oversees implementation across multiple programs including planning, budget development, and policy development.
Represent in negotiating engagements and formal collaborations, with public and private sector leaders(C-suite executives,senior regulatory and federal leaders) across the U.S. and world, for complex portfolio of work aligned with the mission and vision.
Oversees development and execution of strategic business plans for activities.
Responsible for a dynamic and complex portfolio of initiatives, programs and special projects, such as the annual State of Clinical Trials report, and creation of a platform for industry, academia, government, tech and other organizations to share experiences adopting recommendations, lead development of impact framework to measure and demonstrate impact through high quality reports, resources and recommendations to member organizations and the broader clinical trials enterprise.
Manages staff with responsibility for the communications and engagement teams.
Provide guidance to direct reports in developing operational plans and timelines for all projects and initiatives.
Foster engagement, team building and consensus through regular meetings and other methods.
Identifies and recruit key staff in collaboration with leadership.
Represents the director in a variety of external forums such as the NASEM, industry meetings, professional association meetings, and public- private partnerships in order to foster the cultivation of relationships that benefit the goals.
Education/Training: | Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred. |
Experience: | Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in an academic medical center. |
