Plan, develop and direct a comprehensive fund raising program for the Law School with its individual supporters to include alumni, parents, Board members, major donors and friends of the School.
Direct the Law School's major gifts program to secure significant, multi-year contributions from individuals for the Schools endowment, building needs, scholarship and faculty development programs; recommend and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for individual prospects, working with the Dean, the Associate Dean for External Affairs, University officials and volunteers as appropriate.
Direct the School's planned giving program; develop proposals, strategy papers and other written material to encourage a variety of planned giving opportunities.
Manage activities of special gift giving clubs at the School; actively seek out new members; recommend, implement and manage other recognition programs as appropriate.
Direct activities of the School's annual fund and alumni relations programs; manage activities of staff members in carrying out these programs.
Develop and manage a volunteer network to support the School's major gifts and planned giving activities.
Develop and implement marketing programs to enhance the School's position among its major donors.
Prepare reports and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Develop budgetary recommendations, systematize and standardize information on actual costs and evaluate funds within assigned programs.
Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisal, transfers, promotions and vacation schedules.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training: | Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program. Master's degree preferred. |
Experience: | Work requires seven years experience in alumni affairs, public relations, fund raising, sales, and promotions, marketing, student activities or a related field in order to acquire skills necessary to administer, coordinate and/or participate in general fund raising activities and proposal development. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |
