Develop, organize and manage a wide variety of special events for the organization to provide cultivation and stewardship of major donors, and to show appreciation to students, employees, and external parties.
Develop and implement plans for a wide variety of organizational events, in consultation with senior leadership, the Director of Development, Iron Duke Director, Varsity Club Director and other administrators.
Manage campaign events for highest level donors, including, but not limited to, building dedications, groundbreakings, Advisory Board functions and donor recognition events.
Analyze current programs and design/refine in order to enhance attendance, fiscal responsibility, and cultivation and stewardship of major donors and prospects, such as basketball banquets, Hall of Fame celebrations, pre game and post game activities.
Serve as liaison for event and program planning for other development offices across campus; evaluate activities and facilities for use in donor related events and programs in conjunction with NCAA tournaments, bowl games, and other away games; manage off campus site selection and preparation; conduct site visits and exercise judgment to determine feasibility for use in future events.
Write or edit letters and other materials appropriate to events; assemble invitation lists; work with Sports Information to publicize special events and programs.
Plan budgetary projections and expenditures for special events and programs; prepare analysis of events, their cost and effectiveness in the cultivation effort.
Coordinate all activities with colleagues and enlist assistance from students, interns and clerical staff; maintain liaison with coaches and University administrators.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
