Manage the accounting and financial functions of the Duke University Federal Credit Union (DUFCU) to include economic, financial trends, budgeting and long term analysis; completion of financial and regulatory reports and compliance; development and maintenance of the key measurements database; and serving as staff for the Board of Directors Financial committee.
Manage all accounting and financial functions of the Duke University Federal Credit Union (DUFCU).
Oversees general ledger, reviewing adjusting entries to prepaid, accrued and fixed asset accounts; ensure all entries and receipts are posted to the correct general ledger accounts to maintain budgetary control; reconcile subsidiary ledgers and corporate checking and deposit accounts to the general ledger.
Assist Supervisory Committee with various internal audit functions; ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory authorities; facilitate process with auditors and examiners, securing information, explaining procedures and providing requested materials.
Develop and maintain a key measurements database; conduct and report on key ratio analysis.
Prepare complex monthly financial and statistical reports including investments, asset/liability management and pricing.
Format and implement special reports; schedule and meet deadlines on all IRS, IRA, and Social Security reporting.
Serve as Staff to Board of Directors financial committee.
Analyze, research and report National economic and financial trends; recommend loan rate changes; develop, conduct and report on budgeting and long term financial analyses.
Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training: | Work generally requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related field. |
Experience: | Work generally requires five years of experience in an accounting setting to become knowledgeable of the generally accepted accounting practices. Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |
