Direct and manage all aspects of recruitment, admissions and financial aid for professional graduate master's degree, consistent with the goals and mission of the School.
This position oversees the recruitment activity of admissions officers and other Enrollment Services personnel to increase and enhance the applicant pool for admission. This position insures that qualified applications are received and evaluated in an efficient and timely matter. This position works directly with students and other relevant entities to determine and offer financial aid for admitted students.
Direct recruiting activities of admissions officers and other Enrollment Services personnel, including self, to visit college campuses, participate in graduate and professional school fairs and career fairs, and participate in professional organization conferences around the country.
Initiate and implement recruiting plan annually.
Coordinate efforts and consult with Assistant Dean to avoid duplication and to insure that critical events are included.
Manage admissions process including accurate and timely review of applications, analysis of applicant qualifications, review of all admissions recommendations, initiating further review with Assistant Dean and faculty as necessary, notification to applicants of admissions status in a timely manner, coordination of all communications with applicants and admitted students.
Direct use of technology to track admissions data, provide reports as needed by Admissions & Awards Committee, Assistant Dean and Dean.
Initiate and implement annual review and revision of Web based admissions information to insure accuracy and timeliness.
Initiate and implement review and revisions of on line application materials; work with Assistant Deans to insure that application materials on line and on paper are accurate, timely and appealing.
Supervise admissions officers and application readers; consult with Assistant Dean on job performance, merit recommendations, new hires.
Monitor expenditures related to recruitment; direct modifications as necessary.
Evaluate and analyze financial aid status of all admitted professional degree students utilizing established federal and University standards and guidelines to determine financial need; determine type and amount of need based financial aid to be awarded.
Allocate need based assistance according to established guidelines and policies.
Initiate annual plan for allocating merit based aid; seek approval of Assistant Dean and Dean; Work with the Dean, Assistant Dean and Office of Development to correctly allocate merit based financial aid according to endowment policies.
Notify all admitted students and current students of their financial aid status in a timely manner.
Counsel applicants and current students regarding financial aid options including loan program options, interest rates, insurance premiums and origination fees; certify candidates according to established guidelines; conduct entrance and exit interviews and advise students regarding loan repayment policies and requirements.
Work with students to troubleshoot financial aid and account matters as needed.
Prepare detailed reports on financial aid annually and as requested.
Serve as liaison with other financial aid officers across the campus; represent the school at outside financial aid conferences and meetings as appropriate or directed.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
