Occupational Summary

Provide direction in the development, coordination and administration of educational programs and other related activities.

Work Performed

Coordinate, plan, develop and implement programs and activities in collaboration with partner organizations.

Work in consultation with division head to develop marketing and communications strategies and plans to advance program initiatives.

Oversee fiscal management, including program budget development and reporting to granting agencies; prepare reports for submission to sponsoring agencies.

Work in consultation with division head to develop strategic plans and long range forecasts; plan program and divisional budgets by analyzing operating needs and projecting revenues and expenses on both a short term and long range basis.

Prepare financial and operational reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

Supervise and coordinate the work of designated employees; manage personnel activities to meet university and departmental objectives; direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, training and development, performance evaluations, promotions, transfers, vacation schedules and disciplinary actions.

Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, particularly as they relate to financial and sponsored programs compliance and human resource management.

Maintain liaison with internal and external educational and professional organizations to explore new program opportunities, to develop and improve current programs and practices and to represent the interests and capabilities of the School.

Represent division head in meetings, conferences and other affairs of an administrative nature.

Work in consultation with division head to develop strategic plans and long range forecasts; plan program and divisional budgets by analyzing operating needs and projecting revenues and expenses on both a short term and long range basis.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires communications, analytical and organization skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. Masters degree in a related field preferred.

 

Experience:

Position requires a minimum of 5 years related experience.

 

Skills:

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications; experience in or ability to learn administrative and database systems (SAP R/3, Peopleware, etc.)
