Occupational Summary

Assist the Dean in developing and directing programs related to Academic Affairs for a large school within the organization. This is a non- faculty position.

Work Performed

Promote and coordinate school initiatives such as teacher development, workshops, grants, and/or events; Clarify academic policies and judicial procedures; Serve as a project manager; Ensure compliance with internal and external protocols; Create, develop, and administer Programs; Produce resources outlining program objectives; Collaborate with other units or programs at Duke; and seek grant or funding opportunities for research; Coordinate Alumni Relations initiatives.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree, Master's or Doctorate, is preferred

 

Experience:

Must have at least five years experience in university setting with broad knowledge of higher education issues.
