Assist the Director in the administrative management and coordination for the admissions functions at the Duke Law School to include the recruitment and selection of student applications for admission and assigned programmatic responsibilities.
Coordinate and participate in activities involved in the recruitment and selection of student applicants for admission to the Duke Law School. Develop and maintain the Admissions website.
Analyze qualifications of prospective students utilizing established admissions standards, guidelines and criteria, reviewing unusual circumstances with Director as appropriate.
Correspond and/or meet with prospective students, applicants and others seeking information on admissions standards, academic and non academic programs and student activities; travel as necessary for receptions, forums and corporate presentations to enhance recruitment efforts.
Coordinate assigned programmatic responsibilities; participate in or coordinate special project activities as assigned by the Director. Prepare new recruitment publications and communications.
Coordinate recruitment travel; represent the Law School recruitment program.
Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Perform statistical research on applicant pool.
Conduct market research.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education/Training: | Work requires analytical and communication skills as well as familiarity with the academic setting generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. |
Experience: | Work requires at least three years experience in a related field. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |
