Occupational Summary

Responsible for back office operations and data processing functions for the Duke Federal Credit Union.

Work Performed

Manage back office operation and data processing functions. Ensure efficient operation of the data processing system and associated services such as ATM, Debit Cards, and internal operations.

Liaison between back office and front office operations.

Continually enhance internal processes to include efficiencies.

Utilize external service providers in an effective manner.

Implement operational services used by the Credit Union staff.

Perform reviews of internal processes and make recommendations for changes.

Maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure system functionality is kept current with upgrades and installation of new system components.

Supervise the E-Services and Information Technology teams.

Manage various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, promotions, performance appraisals, transfers, vacation schedules and overtime; select, train, and motivate entry level career staff.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires knowledge of accounting principles generally acquired through a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a directly related field.

 

Experience:

Work generally requires five years of experience in financial services industry; experience managing plastics operations (ATM, credit card systems etc.) preferred

 

Skills:

Knowledge of Credit Union operations.

Knowledge of protocols and infrastructure utilized by the Credit Union.

Ability to perform business process analysis essential to the enhancing internal process and improving efficiencies.

Relationship skills essential to working effectively with external service providers in implementing system upgrades and new or enhanced products and services.
