The Deputy Counsel will provide advice and counsel to the Vice President and General Counsel, and will be responsible for the management and supervision of all activities of the University and/or DUHS in the Vice President and General Counsel's absence.

Responsible for the management and supervision of all activities of the University and/or DUHS in the Vice President and General Counsel's absence.
Handle general legal matters within his/her areas of expertise or as assigned, advise University and/or DUHS officials on legal aspects of policy, and assist in formulation of policy.
Represent the institution in legal proceedings, coordinate litigation and oversee outside counsel.
Interact with members of the university community, legal profession, officials of state and federal government and others as assigned by the Vice President and General Counsel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
