Lead the implementation team in conjunction with the Project Steering Committee to implement new technologies and business process enhancement in support of the Sponsored Research Document Management (DM) Initiative. Success requires the creation and coordination of a high- quality project plan and the ability to maintain effective management during project execution. Develop and assist in the implementation of training for administrators, faculty and staff in new business processes, procedures and systems/tools.
Creation and coordination of a high-quality project plan and the ability to lead the execution of said plan.
Assist in the implementation of the IT tools and business process changes.
Facilitate discussions with DM Team, business and research managers including managing agenda, scheduling, timeline management, minutes, and next steps.
Develop a time schedule and work plan for the implementation of the IT tools and workflow evaluation in all campus and SOM units.
Track and monitor departmental business process changes to ensure success and identify ongoing changes necessary as technology or processes mature.
Evaluate and support the redesign of relevant internal controls and work flows to leverage new technology tools and financial management policy updates
Develop and continuously refine business process mapping, user-friendly documentation and training guidelines for new business processes and system implementations
Assist management with the development of metrics and benchmarks needed to evaluate and sustain appropriate levels of performance improvement
Advise RACI on a regular basis of both progress and any obstacles.
| Education/Training: | Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems or a related field |
| Experience: | Five years experience with business process improvement/ system implementations and implementation |
| Skills: | Demonstrated expertise in business process mapping and development of documentation and training materials Strong analytical and assessment skills Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills Ability to work with diverse groups of people Ability to facilitate and operationalize projects Flexibility and ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously Experience with maintaining project plans in MS Project Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other data analysis tools |
