Assist more senior person and perform semi-skilled duties related to painting of University facilities.
Assist painters in assigned work.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Read blueprints. Use riggings, hoist, ladders, scaffolding, lifts and other various equipment used in painting.
Repair and finish drywall for painting. Properly use and care for equipment used in painting trade.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to a high school education with course work in skilled crafts or trades training, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Possess a valid North Carolina driver's license.
Completed Level 3 Apprentice I program requirements or have 1 year experience in paint trade and be able to pass the written test required for advancement to Level 4.
