Occupational Summary
Photograph medical, biological and related subjects involving specialized photographic procedures to include fundus, cine, fluorescent and microscopic photography.
Work Performed
Photograph patients, anatomical structures, pathological specimens, complex surgical techniques and related subjects involving specialized photographic procedures to include fundus, cine, flourescent and microscopic photography.
Develop film, make prints, and produce slides from charts, books and slides to be used for teaching purposes.
Develop new photographic methods and techniqes to achieve desired results. Clean, adjust and repair photographic and related equipment.
Prepare photographic processing solutions; retouch prints and perform layout tasks as required. Provide technical guidance and instruction to members of the faculty and staff in medical photography techniques and procedures.
Maintain files of photographs and processed film. Make work assignments; review work of lower level employees; assist in training new personnel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Work generally requires three years of photography experience to become proficient in performing a variety of complex medical photography and film processing activities involving specialized photographic procedures such as funds, cine, fluorescent and microscopic photography. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
