Occupational Summary
Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients at Duke Private Diagnostic Clinic in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
Work Performed
Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients at Duke Private Diagnostic Clinic in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures to include collecting and analyzing patient data, making recommendations for nursing care plans, establishing interpersonal relationships with patients, evaluating nursing care given and communicating to proper personnel relevant facts about patients, action taken and patient responses.
Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of patient care and act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or a clinic as assigned.
Provide direction and guidance in the proper use, care and control of material resources; appraise quality and effectiveness of material and equipment and report results to head nurse; maintain standards of cleanliness in assigned areas.
Observe activities of nursing staff and make recommendations to head nurse for improvement tin the quality and effectiveness of nursing care given. Assist in the development and implementation of general policies and procedures designed to effect efficiency of operations.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. State of North Carolina licensure is also required.
All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
