Occupational Summary
Perform the more complex clerical and manual tasks associated with receiving, repairing, calibrating, storing and issuing equipment and supplies as well as the maintenance of related records.
Work Performed
Perform the more complex clerical and manual tasks involved in the receiving, repairing, calibrating, storing and issuing of equipment and supplies in accordance with established procedures.
Issue and assemble traction equipment and record the items issued on inventory record cards; conduct stockroom inventories to reconcile inventory cards with stock on hand.
Prepare reports and analyses setting forth trend of equipment repairs; prepare and maintain records of repaired equipment. Retrieve items needing repairs from user units and make the necessary repairs where possible; report needs for major repairs to supervisor; perform preventive maintenance on returned items.
Assist in the training of new employees; review the work of lower leveled personnel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires mechanical and mathematical knowledge/aptitude to test and repair equipment and prepare charge requisitions normally acquired through a high school education.
Experience
One year experience in mechanical/electrical repair or related work.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Ability to lift 50 lbs. is also required.
