Occupational Summary

Apply a variety of complex computer based algorithms to digital image data sets to obtain information for research purposes in support of image based clinical trial research.

Work Performed

Apply a variety of complex computer-based algorithms to digital image data sets to obtain information for research purposes: analyze, document, and compile computer generated information in support of image based clinical trial research.

Confer with Data Manager to review work assignments.

Prepare digital image data sets for computer assisted analysis.

Perform routine quality control checks on analyzed data as per standard operating procedures.

Compile results and transfer data information to appropriate database; maintain individual data analysis records.

Work with the Data Manager and team members to modify analytical procedures.

Propose revisions to training manuals.

Assist in revisions of current lab practices.

Confer with principal investigator(s) with respect to current and potential projects.

Review scientific journals, abstracts and other literature for information applicable to current research projects. Review articles assigned by lab manager and present information to lab team.

Maintain workspace, computer database, supplies and equipment with respect to assigned duties.

Assist in training of new personnel.

Participate in lab team meetings. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a bachelor's degree in biology or directly related scientific field.

Experience

None required above education/training requirements. Experience in UNIX based environment preferred.
