Occupational Summary

Recycler performs semi-skilled work involving the manual collection, separation and shipping of recyclable material collected from the University and Medical Center.

Work Performed

Perform a schedule of recycling collection from the University and Medical Center facilities.

Drive University vehicles in the collection of recyclable materials

Maintain proper separation of materials collected; sort material at the warehouse and prepares for shipping.

Provide support for special recycling events (ex. phone book drives, student events, etc.). Maintain fuel and fluid levels for recycling equipment on a daily basis; perform preventive maintenance and report equipment problems or failure immediately to supervisor.

Maintain recycling and sanitation sites, vehicles and related items in a clean and sanitary condition.

Provide grounds and sanitation support as needed

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires the ability to understand and follow instructions generally acquired through a partial high school education.

Experience

None required. NC driver's license and ability to work outdoors required.
