Occupational Summary
Develop, implement and coordinate various health education activities involved in programs.
Work Performed
Coordinate and participate in educational and counseling activities to meet the projected needs for health-related programs.
Train in CPR, elementary first aid and alcohol awareness.
Provide organizational support for any projected health fairs or other health education activities.
Maintain liaison with professional staff and other personnel to promote program interest and involvement in instruction and participation.
Assist in the implementation of on-going evaluations of health education programs and activities.
Provide individual consults on health education issues.
Assist in the design and preparation of health education materials and programs.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires a bachelor's degree in Public Health, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology or related health field.
Experience
Work requires three years of experience in community or industrial health related work. A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field may substitute for the required experience on a 1:1 basis, that is a two year Master's degree in lieu of two years of experience. OR AND EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
