Occupational Summary

Provide program coordination and administrative support for the First Senior Vice President.

Work Performed

Manage and coordinate appointments, meetings and speaking engagements for the First Senior Vice President to include arranging appointments with donor prospects and managing the First Senior Vice President's prospect list, as well as arranging other appointments as needed.

Research, analyze and prepare reports and summaries of the status of and progress in various activities of the First Senior Vice President; assist the First Senior Vice President in developing goals and objectives for ongoing programs.

Keep abreast of the status of activities relating to programs, initiatives and activities of the First Senior Vice President; plan and conduct meetings of the First Senior Vice President's staff to communicate status.

Coordinate implementation of decisions made by the First Senior Vice President with various University offices and departments; discuss and resolve sensitive issues; inform First Senior Vice President of significant problems.

Coordinate the activities of the support staff within the Office of the First Senior Vice President; administer various personnel actions as appropriate.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification. Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Job requires analytical, communications and organizational skills normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires four years of experience to acquire skills necessary to carry out administrative, supervisory, organizational and program coordination activities.
