Occupational Summary
Manage systems and procedures related to the processing of Procurement and Supply Chain Service and Supply contracts and agreements; monitor the contracting process to maximize the efficiency of contract execution.
Work Performed
Manage systems and procedures related to processing of Procurement and Supply Chain contracts and agreements for Duke University and Duke University Health System Inc.; manage daily activities of the contracts Business Requirements, including updating the Material Master, invoices, and payment, updating Procurement Contract database, and quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders for select agreements identified by the Sourcing Manager or Director.
Continuously improve procedures to affect the timely execution of agreements, letters of intent, and contracts for all Suppliers and key stakeholders per organizational and departmental structure.
Define, establish. and implement quality control procedures for contract documentation, storage, and follow-up; approve all standard operating procedures for the functional groups.
Prepare and monitor regular status reports provided to Sourcing Managers/Directors regarding contract information, such as commitment performance, rebate opportunities, and expiration dates.
In conjunction with the Sourcing Directors, establish short-and long- term operational goals: provide management with action plans and assessment criteria.
Represent the Sourcing Team in meetings with other Duke departments regarding performance and process issues.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires an educational background generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Experience
Work requires a minimum of three years' experience in contracting or Supply Chain Operations.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
