Occupational Summary

Activities in support of site management and clinical monitoring services for SOM departments.

Work Performed

The coordination of various aspects of patient care during the pre transplant workup, on the inpatient unit, in the clinic, hospital, and by home health.

Oversight and coordination of financial coordinator and search coordinator to ensure that there is approval from the patients third party payer for evaluation and treatment, donor searches and procurement.

Coordinate administrative support for the physicians, nurse coordinators, nurse practitioners, social workers, clinical research coordinators, and other staff in the Program.

Supervise couriers and make daily assignments for transport of samples, patients, visitors and staff.

Oversee the processes for accreditation and reaccreditation.

Maintenance of standard operating procedures for patient care, donor recruitment and evaluation, patient follow up, outcomes evaluations.

Education of staff in the inpatient unit and clinic about new policies and procedures.

Oversee activities of Clinical Research Coordinators and ensure that outcomes reporting is completed on time as required by Federal law.

Oversee the directed donor program Supervise Program Director in preparation and maintenance of hospital and departmental budgets.

Work collaboratively with IT Specialist to develop and maintain program electronic chart and databases, work tables, outcomes statistics, and reports.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Current NC License as a Registered Nurse or Bachelors Degree.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years experience
