Occupational Summary
Provide strategic direction and leadership to market, recruit and select students for The Duke MBA Daytime and Executive MBA Programs. Provide administrative management and coordination for admissions functions, reporting to the Senior Associate Dean for Programs.
Work Performed
Successfully combine/merge the two MBA Admissions Offices at Fuqua; Provide strategic direction and focus that creates a functionally driven structure to service the four MBA programs at Duke.
Lead the newly created organization to build a best in class admission team.
Establish an office environment that is collaborative, efficient and effective.
Oversee the successful strategy and implementation of all efforts related to admissions and marketing of the Schools Daytime and Executive MBA Programs.
Spearhead and direct global initiatives and diversity strategies that differentiate the Duke MBA brand to prospective students.
Develop strategic recruitment plans for the Daytime and EMBA programs which will successfully distinguish and position programs, cultivate new and existing corporate relationships, and meet enrollment targets.
Develop and successfully implement strategies to grow and diversify the applicant pool, specifically in areas (e.g. function, industry, postgraduate goals) identified by faculty, administration, alumni, corporate recruiters and current students as improvement opportunities.
Develop new and existing partnerships that reflect the Daytime and Executive MBA applicant pools.
Promote program inquiries and applications and to successfully manage enrollment of the Schools MBA programs with the best qualified students.
Provide the Schools leadership team with forecasts, analyses, strategic options, advice and recommendations regarding admissions strategy and enrollment planning.
Direct the budgeting, accounting, personnel, publications and public relations for the Office of Admissions.
Represent the School to campus administrative units and serve on campus- level policy setting and advisory committees.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree an MBA or Master's in Counseling or Higher Education highly desirable
Experience
Work generally requires 10 years professional work experience with at least 5 years managing and operating a highly successful office of admissions
