Occupational Summary

Exercise management responsibility over all functions relating to University Development and Alumni Affairs.

Work Performed

Direct establishment and implementation of plans, programs and schedules for University Development and Alumni Affairs.

Prepare development proposals and present development projects to various corporations, foundations and individuals; coordinate development activities of staffs of Professional Schools and departments.

Determine fiscal requirements of department and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds.

Provide administrative direction to staff management by applying specialized and technical knowledge in the implementation and execution of the planned programs for University Development and Alumni Affairs.

Review proposed policies and procedures; evaluate and serve in an advisory capacity to University Officers and Trustees; make recommendations for improvements in University Development Office programs.

Coordinate, through accountable management personnel, the establishment of major schedules, task assignments and allocation of manpower and equipment to ensure conformance with specified objectives and policies.

Direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
