Occupational Summary

Classification established to pay Divinity School students for services performed while participating in a field education experience. Students are assigned to North Carolina churches by the School. Work performed is assigned and supervised by the church. Per 4/24/95 memo from David Adcock, University Counsel, classification is not subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Students are set up at zero rate of pay. Personal Services Requisitions (PSR) are used to process payment. No FLSA employee-employer relationship should be noted on each PSR.
