Occupational Summary
Provide technical consultation and guidance on medical center information system analysis and design.
Work Performed
Develop administrative data processing policies, procedures and guidelines for system standardization and compatibility.
Provide technical expertise in the analysis and design of information systems in keeping with medical center user needs. Develop hardware/software strategies and plans for assigned departments and functional areas.
Conduct research projects related to the potential impact of technological and regulatory changes in the health care industry, including Diagnostically Related Groups (DRG's), and cost/efficiency studies of systems and equipment.
Make work assignments; review the work of designated employees; assist in the training of new personnel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
